Title: Discovery Documentary Showcases Ghana’s Best

Millions of potential viewers can see the film on November 8th when it’s shown on the popular American television outlet, the Discovery Travel Channel.

Later today, President Kufuor will promote investment in Ghana in a round-table discussion with U.S. business leaders at the United States Chamber of Commerce. The president is also scheduled to attend a dinner reception with senior business leaders of the Executive Leadership Council. Mr. Kufuor is the first African president to be hosted and recognized by the group.


President John Kufuor and World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz joined 300 delegates, including Rosa Whitaker, former Assistant US Trade Representative for Africa, and high-profile members of the United States Congress at an exclusive premiere screening of the documentary GHANA: THE PRESIDENTIAL TOUR at the American Film Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland on Wednesday, October 26, 2005. The successful event, organized by The Discovery Communications and The Africa Society of the National Summit on Africa to boost American tourism in Ghana, was followed by a cocktail reception at Discovery Communications' Global Headquarters.
