Jan: 19: CAN2008 Reception @ the African Regent Hotel The African Regent Hotel and Ghana Cyber Group will host the CAN2008 Fiesta, a 3-week program, starting with a pre-tournament reception on Saturday, January 19, 2008 (7:00 PM) at the African regent hotel. Other activities include Live TV coverage of all matches and an after-party shortly after all Black Stars games.
More than 1,000,000 visitors are expected in Ghana in January and February 2008 for the 26th MTN African Cup of Nations, due to be hosted in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale. Ghana has played in the finals 7-times, winning the championship in 1963, 1965 and 1978 and 1982. The African Regent Hotel, Ghana Cyber Group and Strategic Communications will bring together thousands of international soccer fans in Accra at the CAN2008 Fiesta between January 20-February 10, 2008 to experience a historic MTN Championship event.
